My Apple watch crashed
My Apple Watch crashed during the 1.0.1 update.
I get the red circled exclamation mark screen even after I reboot by holding the crown and button for 10 seconds.
What else can I do ?

You may need to restore your apple watch then repair with your phone.
Try unpairing it: Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support.
It just happened to me. Press and hold the crown and the other button at once for around 10 seconds or when the Apple logo appears. If the exclamation mark comes back contact Apple support. Unfortunately the pressing buttons method has not worked for me and I'm visiting the Apple Store tomorrow.
Unpairing on the iPhone has no effect on an Apple Watch that crashes at boot time, as it's before it can connect to the iPhone.
How can you restore an Apple Watch if it crashed at boot and does not connect with the iPhone ?
You might want to take a look at the manual for some additional instructions. https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1708/en_US/apple_watch_user_guide. pdf
If you believe that, and are unwilling to try the solutions provided, there is nothing more we can offer you.
Apple Assistance confirmed me it is an hardware problem and that there is nothing I can do. I have to send it back to Apple for repair. We can close the thread.
I did read the manuel cover to cover, but there is no solution offered. They only advise you to reboot it by holding the button and crown for 10 seconds.
I guess the only solution is to use a lightning cable that has a connector for the hidden (lightning like) port and restore it using a Mac and specialized software.
But only Apple staff is provided such a cable and the relevant maintenance software/firmware.
For the record I did try to unpair the watch from the iPhone Apple Watch app... as I was desperate to try anything.
But it had zero effect on the watch ... that still display this nice exclamation marks every time I reboot it, a second after the Apple logo.
Nothing to do with beliefs, I was just posting my analysis of the proposed solution (useless) to save other people time ;-)
This support document talks about restoring the Apple Watch. If you forgot the passcode for your Apple Watch - Apple Support Not sure if that can help you, however it seems you need to return the device, so additional help here really isn't necessary.
Hi, I am having the same problem now and I wondered if the apple store was able to fix it or di they have to send it in?
As Jonathan indicated in your other post, it needs to be sent in. As far as I know, the Apple Stores do not have any facilities to repair/refurbish the watches at this time.
