Just replaced my mid-2012 Macbook Pro with a 2015 Macbook Pro retina (2.9 GHz i5, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD). My current 22 inch external monitor (VG2239, 1920 x 1080) looks a bit washed out with Yosemite. Any recommendations and experience to share re 4k displays? Looking for 24 inch display, read good things about several of the Dell displays, but could not find anything from an actual user with my early 2015 iMBP.
Hi Steve, I have exactly the same set up as you. However, when I plug in the monitor it displays the screen with a thick black border around the edge. Did you find this? How did you get it to fill the monitor completely?

Decision made, monitor purchased. Decided it was premature to get a 4k display, and instead purchased a Dell U2415 24 inch 1920 x 1200 dpi monitor. Very nice display, comes with Thunderbolt cable, works perfectly with my early 2015 Macbook Pro 13 retina.
