that does not look like an apple link always use iCloud.com

Thank you for your comment. i think you are right, as when i try to log in, nothing happens. It is an exact replica of the iCloud.com page, where i have no trouble logging in. The text received says it is from Apple and very kindly signs off with ....Regards Apple Team. oh well, another lesson learnt! 😊
