Backup is taking 73 hours! If I take it out of a WI-FI area will it have to start over again?

Backup is taking 73 hours! If I take it out of a WI-FI area will it have to start over again?

I thought I was on automatic backup- turns out I have 4 YEARS worth of backup to do. I can't leave it at work all weekend while it backs up...will I have to start all over or will it resume backing up where it left off? Help!

If you take it off wifi you will have to start all over again. It will not take 4 years to backup it usually says that for a few minutes. If all else fails try another wifi network.

I mean it hasn't been backed up in 4 years.....
