I use my Mac Mini as a backup server for multiple users. I inadvertently deleted one of the users and would like to access their last known backup to retrieve some of the files.
I cannot mount the backup, modify its owner, or really do anything but confirm the last time it was accessed and file size. Sudo or otherwise.
How do I access these backups?
Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
You may need to repair the disk permissions in disk utility.
Recreate the mobile account with the same numerical ID. You should then be able to enter Time Machine on the client and restore as usual.
