HT201788 Disc Driver

Can I burn a disc using this driver? I have a MacBook Air and bought this external disc driver from the Apple Store the same time I bought my MacBook, from the same sales associate. I am trying to burn a CD that is currently blank with some pictures to share with my family. My family all has PCs, so I cannot use Apple Photo Sharing in this particular situation.
