May 30, 2015 9:17 PM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,Based on your description it seems that the iMac wants to build a MBR which is invalid.
Can you post the output of the following Terminal commands?
diskutil list
diskutil cs list
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk1
sudo fdisk /dev/disk1
The "sudo" commands will prompt for your password, and it will not be echoed back. You may also see a warning about improper use of "sudo" and potential data loss due to "abuse" of the command.

May 31, 2015 4:48 AM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,Please disconnect all external storage before you attempt to install Windows. In your case it is disk3 - disk10.
Please also see Boot Camp: "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one" alert during Windows 8 install - Apple Support.

May 31, 2015 9:29 AM in response to Loner Tby alberto.benamu,All external HDDs are disconnected during the creation of the partition and trying to install Windows.
The link you gave me, that is not the issue.
Like I said all external HDDs are only connected while running Yosemite.
Any other ideas, please!!!!
Thanks

May 31, 2015 10:22 AM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,In a Fusion drive configuration, Windows is installed on the HDD part if BCA is used. If all external storage is disconnected,
1. Are you using a USB Installer or an external DVD?
2. If you are using a USB installer, have you verified that your USB is a USB2 , not a USB3 flash device?
3. Does the Windows Installer Start correctly?
4. Do your Keyboard and Mouse function properly, if the installer starts?
5. Please re-run BCA and try to install Windows, let it fail, and then your partitions can be re-examined using the same commands to check if there is a partitioning issue?
-
May 31, 2015 10:26 AM in response to Loner Tby alberto.benamu,I am using a USB installer which is USB2, Windows stars correctly, wireless keyboard and mouse work during the setup period.
Will do number 5 and let you know.

Thanks.
BTW, Windows installer did not mount disk1, it was only disk0.

May 31, 2015 3:53 PM in response to Loner Tby alberto.benamu,I did and I formatted it and it still was telling that it would not install because of GPT.
There is a GPT issue that I don't understand.
-
May 31, 2015 3:54 PM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,Did it give you an error about GPT vs MBR partition types? If yes, that is an easy fix. Can you post a screen shot of the exact error message?
-
May 31, 2015 3:58 PM in response to Loner Tby alberto.benamu, how can you get a screenshot while being on windows setup?
I will try again, LOL
OMG, I will age 10 years if I don't get this right.
Here we go again.
Will take a photo with my iPhone and post it.

May 31, 2015 4:02 PM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,There is a utility called GPT Fdisk - http://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ . Please download it on the OS X side when you get a chance.
I will give you the exact steps once I see the message.

May 31, 2015 4:40 PM in response to alberto.benamuby Loner T,In Step 10, 'Y' is used for an existing installation. You need to test the installation with 'Y' and 'N', because I do not know what state the NVRAM is in.
Please stop if you see any error messages. Rebuild MBR to match the new GPT information thus resetting the Hybrid MBR. Use defaults for other questions (like partition codes). The only values that need modifications are the Boot flags and step 10. Accept all other defaults that Gdisk offers.
- Sudo gdisk /dev/disk1
- P (Print list of parts)
- R (Recover)
- O (print current Hybrid MBR)
- H (chooses Hybrid)
- Partitions numbers to be hybridized: 2 3 4
- Y (Good for GRUB question)
- N (part 2 boot flag)
- N (part 3 boot flag)
- Y (part 4 boot flag make NTFS bootable partition)
- O (print current Hybrid MBR)
- W (Write the new MBR)
- Y (Yes! write the new MBR)
- Reboot
Here is sample Q&A for this section. Please notice the Press Enter/Return.
Place EFI GPT (0xEE) partition first in MBR (good for GRUB)? (Y/N): Y
Creating entry for GPT partition #2 (MBR partition #2)
Enter an MBR hex code (default AF): Press Enter/Return
Set the bootable flag? (Y/N): N
Creating entry for GPT partition #3 (MBR partition #3)
Enter an MBR hex code (default AB): Press Enter/Return
Set the bootable flag? (Y/N): N
Creating entry for GPT partition #4 (MBR partition #4)
Enter an MBR hex code (default 07): Press Enter/Return
Set the bootable flag? (Y/N): Y
