I did see that setting prior to posting. I had gotten the impression that setting was to use MY watch with MY iPhone. Are you saying that this setting will also prevent my iPhone from ringing when my wife gets a call?

May 30, 2015 10:32 PM in response to Ziatronby gail from maine,Well, based on what you were describing, it sounded like you were both signed into the same iCloud account? If you are not, then not sure how that is happening? If you are, then it is Continuity that is causing all three to ring:
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support

May 30, 2015 10:32 PM in response to Ziatronby stevejobsfan0123,How do you want it to work? Do you want your iPhone and Watch to receive your calls, but not her iPhone, or do you want just your iPhone to receive the calls? Either way, this problem is caused because you and she are sharing an Apple ID, and they are not meant to be shared.

Well, I think that having my IPhone ring and my watch ring when her phone rings is extremely bad.
Having my watch ring with my phone makes some sense. So, my objective tonight is not to have my watch or my iPhone ring when her phone rings. Why anyone would want what I'm experiencing is beyond my comprehension.

Under "Settings", I do not have a "FaceTime".

May 30, 2015 10:39 PM in response to Ziatronby gail from maine,Again, are you both signed onto the same iCloud account? If you are, then you need to turn off iPhone Cellular Calls in the FaceTime settings on the devices.
Read the link I posted for a better understanding of Continuity and how it works.

No. USA, direct from Apple.

Yes, we do have the same iCloud account. I ONLY use it for Contacts, and Find my iPhone. Nothing else. We have been sharing the same iCloud account for a long time, and never had this problem until I purchased the watch.
I read the link that you gave me. I'm still confused. I am not doing facetime, just regular voice calls.
I did this: Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps, and turn off Handoff.
This did not help the problem, all three devices ring simultaneously.

May 30, 2015 10:54 PM in response to Ziatronby stevejobsfan0123,★HelpfulYou said you can't find "FaceTime" in Settings... I'm guessing you were looking on the watch instead of on the iPhone.
Also, as I mentioned, Apple IDs are not meant to be shared. See How to Stop Sharing an Apple ID.
(Note that I am affiliated with that site, and some pages contain ads).

Yes, I now found that setting and turned it off. Now when my wife's iPhone rings, my Apple watch rings, but not my iPhone. So, we are making some progress. How do I keep my Apple Watch from ringing when her iPhone rings?

May 30, 2015 11:03 PM in response to Ziatronby stevejobsfan0123,The only way to do that is with separate Apple IDs.

Out of about 20 families that I know, every single one of them shares their Apple ID amongst family members.
If we had separate IDs this would greatly add to the confusion and cost of our Apple devices. We would have to make multiple purchases for our family to utilize.
We very much want to have the same exact contacts in both of our iPhones. We want to have the same exact music in our iPod Classic, (not for sale).
