It sounds like you put your phone into recovery mode to restore it after entering the passcode incorrectly but got an error message and are back at the recovery mode screen. I would start with the information in the following article:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors in iTunes
If that doesn't get the restore to complete successfully, then I would look for the error number you got in this article for more specific troubleshooting:
