Cannot align inline objects in Pages 5.5

Dear All,

I am trying to prepare en evoke using Pages 5.5 on my MPR. I inserted an image to the text, then selected "inline with text" option. However, after doing that I am not able to align this object, and it stays aligned to the left. I am completely new to mac world, and to be honest couldn't find a detailed answer to my problem.

I also attach the screenshot, hope it would help to describe the problem.

If you change the Inline with text to Automatic, Pages will make a quasi-effort to center the image, though it stops just short of the center guideline. At least, you can click and maneuver the image with the Automatic setting. The Above and Below setting also permits centering of the image, and unless you drag the image down into the text body, it will stay where it was inserted above the current text.
