I have been having problems with Apple TV 3 and Youtube. Just started today. Receiving error message in loading video content. I've reset, restarted, restored and nothing helps. It is happening only with Youtube and videos in My Playlists. It is not happening with my computer just Apple TV 3.
Having the same issue. Everything else is working. I've been watch a game walk through only way I could get it to work is to AirPlay from my iPad. Only about 1 in 10 YouTube videos are working. Tried resetting and turning off and on. Nothing works
Same problem here (Germany). Apple TV 3, most recent software, 50 Mbits internet speed.
I did the following:
- restart Apple TV
- restore Apple TV
- reset complete network infrastructure in my house
- restore router
Noting let to success.
All other apps on the Apple TV work without problems, only Youtube gives the error message "An errorr occurred showing the content. Try later".
On my Mac Mini and on my Mac Book Pro I have no problems watching Youtube.
Maybe this behavior coud be related to the cut-off of older devices?
well I got the same error msg on my xbox one the other day so it may not have anything to do with the youtube api change which should not affect the appletv3 anyway
Someone in the google forum mentioned that changing the regional settings solved his problem.
I did the same and this solved my problem, too.
Since changing regional settings the youtube app plays the videos as usual.
