Q: Can I confirm IF I turn off Iphoto Library temporarily on my Iphone that it will not delete the photos from the cloud or my other devices

I am very confused today. All of my photos on my iphone which were numerous between certain dates have disaappeared but not only on my iphone but on all devices and the cloud.

I have icloud photo library enabled on all my devices and I have extra storage 200GB which I pay for so have plenty of storage. What shows in the new OS X photos and on my iphone is any photos between March 15 and now and all photos that I have put into albums up to Feb 2014. All other photos that were in OS X photos for 2014 and early 2015 and also on my iphone have completely vanished. I have not deleted these manually from iphone which I know deletes then accross all platforms and devices. The only thing I did do which I recall is at some point I temporarily turned off the icloud photo library on my iphone. I did not permanently disable from settings I just turned off in the camera & photo section. So I am now very confused. Fortunately for me I believe most of my photos auto backed up onto Google Photos so though I may have lost some a lot of have been saved. But I need to know if anyone is of the same opinion as me that something has gone very wrong through turning off icloud photo library temporarily, I am sure this should not have happened if I read the support info correctly. Has anybod else experienced simalar issues or can anyone else give any further insight please

Thank you
