I've purchased several movies and when I go and synch them, they will not download. The message I get that says "movie cannot be played in iPad." Why is this?

Purchased several movies from where? iTunes? And are you trying to sync them to the iPad after downloading them to iTunes on your computer?

Yes, of course. I just purchased Transformers: Age of Extinction and got that message.
I got the same message yesterday when I tried to download the purchased "The Godfather Trilogy" yesterday.
Are you only trying to sync this one movie when you get the message? If so, did you try quitting iTunes, reboot your computer and restart your iPad? Obviously the movie is one that can be played on the iPad so maybe restarting everything will fix it.
