I have Pages 5.5.3 and when I want to copy/paste my text from Pages (text) to InDesign CC (layout), it doesn't work.
How can I resolve that?

It's working when I try via a different text program or if I export my Pages document to a pdf, but I don't understand why I need to go via an other text program to paste my text into Indesign..
So if I write my thesis on Pages, I need to export it first and then I can copy and paste in Indesign. It's not really efficient.. no?

Pages 5.5.3 is a bit of a dog and why it throws up problems like this is a mystery. It is also causing problems with other clipboard objects.
To be fair you have to check the the other end of the equation which is Indesign CC. How does it work with other Apps?
Why are you using Pages 5.5.3 anyway if the end App is Indesign? If it is as a word processor, it is not an efficient one and puts your work in jeopardy.

If you used MS Word for your thesis, you could import that content directly into InDesign. Productivity gain without the extra lost time with Pages, and far less jeopardy to the final result as a paraphrase of Peter's comments.
mmh yes you're right! It's juste easier for the orthography and to write with Pages, than with Indesign! But yes, maybe a waste of time..

There are lots of alternatives to both Pages and Indesign for Word Processing.
Use TextEdit or Bean [free] and save to Word .doc format.

I also have the problem, that I cannot displace pages (so site 3 gets site 4…)
A sign of the times, our local Adobe Indesign User Group is closing down.
Personally I am waiting for Affinity Publisher later this year.

btw Copy and Paste works between Pages '09, Pages 5.5.3 and Indesign CS6. It does not retain the formatting but the text pastes OK to whatever the local styling is in Indesign.

have the problem with Pages 5.6 and ID CS6.
As soon as I use Pages 4.3, Notes or some other texteditor, it works fine.
So it is definetly a bug coming from Pages.
Since Pages 5 is also missing other features known for previous versions, maybe you shoud go back to iWorks 09. Or use something else.
