I can not import cr2 files in Photos

Hey there,

I have a problem, I updated to Photos and now I can't import the CR2 files from my Canon camera into Photos. I tried to copy the files on the hard drive and then import but I still can not see them in Photos. The only way that I found was to copy the file, remove all the jpg files and then import them in photos.

That doesn't sound right. What should I do ? I did noticed a small "J" logo down left the picture of the jpegs that I imported with the raw. Does it has something to do with it ?

Thanks,

iPhone 5, iOS 8

a couple of things

when you shoot JPEG plus RAW you get two identical copies recorded in different formats - Photos imports both and stacks them with a "r"on the RAW (CR2) and a "j" on the JPEG - if you want to use the RAW for editing then open the photos for edit and select Use RAW as original under the image menu

But Why are you shooting RAW plus JPEG - it generally accomplishes nothing and wastes space on the memory card and on the computer - if you want RAW shoot RAW only and if you want JPEG instead then shoot JPEG only

In any case it has been working correctly sine the beginning - you simply did not understand
