How can I use Numbers '09 to count the number of cells greater than a certain number?

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get Numbers '09 to calculate the number of times a number greater than a certain number (>70 for instance) appears in cells in a row or a column. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use COUNTIF. Here is an example with Numbers 3. It's the same in Numbers 2.3 (Numbers '09).
