can i get cellular data on a macbook pro?

The only way you're going to get Cellular data on a Mac is to tether it to an iPhone or another smartphone or tablet that allows tethering (personal hotspot) to the cellular data plan on your phone, or buy a standalone cellular hotspot from your carrier.

Your nearest cellular carrier will be more than happy to sell you a personal hotspot device.

It has WIFI but does not have a cellular connection.
