i used to use 'image capture' app to copy photos from the iPod touch to the MacBook Pro... now image capture says 'no camera or scanner detected', even tho iTunes does 'know' that the iPod touch is connected...

Does Photos (10.01.3 only) or iPhoto see the iPod?
- If a PC does it appear in My Computer?

Try to plug in your iPod touch to your mac then turn off the iPod touch, count to 10 then turn it back on. Keep it plugged in, and then also keep image capture open and it will come up.
Did you ever get this resolved, aseret001? I'm having the same issue. iTunes can see and sync with my iPod touch, but iPhoto, Photos, and Image Capture don't see it at all. I've tried powering down and restarting my iPod Touch, but no go.
Is there any other way to get photos off an iPod Touch and onto my Mac? OS X El Capitan and iOS 9.0.2.
EDIT: Never mind, after disconnecting and reconnecting my iPod for the 7th or 8th time, Image Capture was able to see it.
