What is the best disk drive for an iMac

I would appreciate your advice on the best external dvd/bluray drive for a new iMac.

Macs do not play Blu-Ray discs natively. If you have video discs that are in the Blu-Ray format, you will need to find a Mac compatible Blu-Ray /DVD player and a separate software Blu-Ray player application.

Also, the only Mac compatible Blu-Ray reading/writing drives I have found on Amazon are made by Samsung (I hate anything Samsung).
They are the only drives that mention OS X compatibility.
