I want to do a clean install on macbook with original leopard os

I have an older macbook 13 inch. I only get a boot up to a blue screen. tried a few things and still get it to boot up full.

I thought the best is to do a clean install and install the original leopard OS. Not sure the best steps to go through.

Any suggestion?

Hello,

Does it boot from the 10.5 Install Disc using c key or alt key?

"Try Disk Utility

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.

2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)

*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*

3. Click the First Aid tab.

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.

5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Hi .. Sorry for lead in getting back to you,was away.

I followed your instructions and it did seem to fix some files.

When I boot up, I am still getting a blue screen. The Apple logo shows up and then it goes to a blue screen.

Thats why I thought it would be best to erase the HD and reload leopard. A clean install more or less.

Thanks
