nested pages

Is it possible to created what I have called "nested pages?" What I mean is I want to have subpages that are not all availble from the main menu. The blog set-up is like that. Blog is all that shows on the main menu, but there is an archive.

In my case, I am creating my first iWeb page. I have presentations that I offer. There are about 5 or 6 in about 4 different categories (so about 20-30 different talks). I want a separate page for each but obviously do not want 30 different titles on the main menu. So, as I've done (and seen done) on other sites, I wanted to be able to say something like "Educational Presentations" and then once they click that, see the list of the four or five other pages.

Can I do that?

Sure you can. Just go ahead and make those four or five other pages in iWeb. To keep them OFF the main navigational menu, just click on each page, open the Inspector Page tab, and uncheck the "include page in nav menu" box. Done. Now you can make your main page called "Educational Presentations" and then have links on that page to these "hidden" subpages. Just decide what you want to attach the hyperlinks to (text, image, etc), open the Inspector Hyperlink tab, check the "Enable as hyperlink" box, and under Link To: select "One of My Pages". You should see your hidden pages in the dropdown list. That's it!

THanks James. That sounds something like what I thought would happen (hidden pages). But as you described it, it also sounded like my main page or first page would be "Educational Programs."

Can I do that if the "EP" page is actually one of 4 or 5 main pages? So, for instance if I have "Welcome' and "Bio" and "Coaching" and "Blogs" and then "Educational Programs." So, then, can I do what you describe in that fashion?

If I can, then I am guessing that I would do as you said, create the 4 or 5 other pages with their own titles. Make them hidden. But here's where I'm not sure it works like I wish. I suppose, though, I could then create textbased (or picture based) hyperlinks, right? So the EP page could have, as the body (the main thing people see) could be those titles. The links would not be along the top where the main links are, but once someone went to the "EP" page, they would see the links to the other pages?

Have I understood that correctly?

You have it exactly right. "Educational Presentations" would be one of your main pages, listed in the top navigation bar with the other main pages of your site. But the links for the presentations would only be visible as text or image hyperlinks in the body somewhere of the "EP" page and they would link to the hidden pages. Exactly!

And as far as the navigation menu on these hidden pages, since they all fall under "Educational Presentations"... you may or may not want your main navigation menu to be displayed. You can simply have another text/image link on each of these hidden pages that links back to the main "EP" page.
