High Ping time on NEW MacPro 6,1

hi all,

Extremely puzzled with the ethernet performance of a new MacPro6,1.

Background, got myself a brand new MacPro6,1. Everything works well, except for the +30ms ping overhead as compare to 2 mac-mini and a imac.

In a nutshell, both the mac-mini and imac can achieve 1ms response with speedtest.net , but the macpro just couldn't get below 28ms.

It's has a physical network connects to the hub, swap the cables from the other mac and the result is consistent. So, it's not the physical network.

All the Mac running Yoesmite, so OS is not the cause. Check the configuration of the network, both have the same configuration.

30ms difference is not going to make a world of difference in today's internet, but i feel it's just not right for a hardware which i have very expectations....

Wondering anyone have similar experience ? or can achive 1ms ping time with speedtest.net ?

Andrew
