I have an Acer model H236HL. It worked fine with my old Mac Mini, but the new one won't wake up the monitor. I have to turn the monitor off and back on in order to wake it up. I went to Acer Support and they blamed Mac. Does anyone have a solution?

What kind of connection corn are you using to connect the Mac to the monitor?
HDMI. The same cable I used for my old Mac Mini.
I've been having the exact same problem. I'm really guessing the bug is in Yosemite because the monitor wakes when plugged into an Asus laptop running Windows 8.1 via HDMI cable.
I'm really wanting to figure this problem out. I love my Mac and want it to run the way it should.
