verification failed certificate

I didn't use my iPod touch 5th gen for 24+ hours and now it's going crazy. The dates say it's 1970, I can't change it, i tried. I can't get on safari without it crashing. I can't sign in to icloud and the app store isn't working. I didn't load pictures in my stream. It won't even let me update it (it's on ios 8.1 ) All that pops up is these things aren't trusted because there certificates are up. I have tried restarting it and resetting it. Help???
