Q: After update to 10.10.3 Os X Yosemite don't detect my DVI display

Hello,

A few days ago, i update the system to the latest version 10.10.3, after that my external display stop working, the display is conected through mini displayport, i check the cable it was fine, the port in fact it's functional by an HDMI mini displayport, i bought another DVI mini displayport and don't work at all.

Anyone has the same issue? if solve it, how you do it?

Hi there themusicgap,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

From what I gather, you aren’t seeing any video on your external display since updating your iMac.
The article linked below provides a lot of great information and troubleshooting tips that will resolve most issues with video on external displays.

Hi Jason, i fix the issue, the system only recognize HDMI connection, then i had to buy an mini displayport to HDMI and a HDMI to DVI cable, and that's how i fix it, i think the latest update apply some restrictions to old connections, it's a shame by apple force the users to upgrade they devices...
