Q: Macbook Pro early 2015 heating
Hi Experts,
My MacBook pro ( early 2015 ) with retina display is heating up to 70 C very fast while watching videos. I have think pad and never faced such type of issues while watching same videos and this is not what I expected from macbook.
I didn't install any multimedia editing softwares yet, that consume CPU more than watching a simple video, frankly I am little scared to install them :-). I have an appointment at apple store in a week, and don't want to burn my MBP before that and right now I am holding on installing any new things on it.
Fan was turned on while doing simple things like, installing Chrome, Syncing photos from Iphone to MacBook, Watching a video without any other things open. I do this basic level of activity on other laptops and they don't generate as much heat as MacBook.
I reset SMC, RAM, ran diagnostics and nothing was found there.
Can you please suggest any tips to reduce heat generated by MBP ?
Thanks,
Kan.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
