SuperDrive is the name Apple gives its own external drive.

Eveyrtihng esle is just an External Optical Drive, or a CD/DVD drive. Nothing super about them.

It really does not matter. You can get a USB optical drive from pretty much any manufacturer. Though some may require a newer version of OSx.

Are you looking for a hard drive or an optical drive ("superdrive")? Getting an external optical drive won't help with the lack of space on your internal HD. You need to back up your internal hard drive to an external HD and then do some pruning to free up space on the internal. You could consider replacing the internal drive with a larger one, also. Depending on your level of expertise, you might need to have this done by an authorized service provider.

A Super Drive will not work for that.

You could purchase either an external hard drive. Or an internal hard drive to replace the one you have currently.

The easiest route is to get an external hard drive, and move your files to it to make space on the laptop.
