retrieve icloud textedit files after reinstall

Hi,

This is what happened: I saved textedit files to iCloud for a while, collecting some notes etc. Last week I decided to upgrade by doing a clean install with Yosemite. Everything up and running in no time, very happy with the results. However, I cannot seem to reach the textedit files anymore. If I try to reach them via textedit, it's empty, and I cannot find another method. Also Drive is empty. I should be using the same account...

In System Preferences > iCloud I clicked on manage, there it says I'm using 27.3KB of my 5GB under 'world'. However, it's not clickable, I can just 'Delete Documents and Data'.

So how can I retrieve this data?

I was on Mavericks first, my computer is a 15" mid-2010 MacBook Pro.

Thanks for any help, much appreciated. I guess I just gotta get more accustomed to this whole iCloud thing.
