how do I improve video quality with imovie?

I know old videos have poor quality to begin with, but after editing in imovie and exporting, quality is very degraded. Does anyone have any suggestions concerning importing and exporting to and from iMovie 11?

Hello masseHM,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that after you export a project from iMovie ’11, the image resolution isn’t as high as you would expect. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article for more information on the resolution of iMovie ’11 projects.
