Kernal Panic - MacBook Pro, Yosemite.

Hello Apple community!

Unfotunately, every now and then my MacBook Pro Kernel Panics but doesn't always let me see the report for it.. The one time it did, it gave me this: does anyone know what it means or what might be causing it?

Any help is welcome! This is quite frustrating. 😟

Any or all of the following third-party system modifications may be contributing to the problem:

CUDA

BlackBerry Desktop (obsolete)

If the panic is recurrent, check that all are up to date, and if they are, uninstall them, one at a time, according to the developers' instructions, to see whether you can determine which is at fault. A conflict between modifications may be involved. Restart the computer and test after each uninstallation.

Back up all data before making any changes.

To remove CUDA, triple-click anywhere in the first line below on this page to select it:

/Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.nvidia.CUDASoftwareUpdate.plist
/Library/PreferencePanes/CUDA Preferences.prefPane
/System/Library/Extensions/CUDA.kext
/System/Library/StartupItems/CUDA
/usr/local/cuda

Right-click or control-click the line and select

Services Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Continue with the remaining lines. Some of the items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file couldn't be found. After moving all the above items to the Trash, restart the computer and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.

If you haven't already done so, back up all data before making any changes.

*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select

Go Go to Folder...

from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Hello Linc,

Firstly, thank you very much for your swift reply! It's nice to see that my cry for help was quickly heard.

I did as you suggested, and removed the files mentioned. However, upon restarting, my laptop did not start up again. It went to a white screen and remained in that state.

I rebooted in recovery mode and restored my Mac to a backup I made previous to that (nothing was lost don't worry, I backup my laptop every 10 days or so). I'm confused as to what these files have to do with the normal functionality of my machine.

Any thoughts?

Looking forward to your reply.
