you tube icon is not in the main menu nor the active/inactive settings.

Google no longer supports YouTube on older models of Apple TV and other devices.

not apart from airplay from an ios device such as an ipod touch or iphone or ipad which support airplay and have a youtube app

or a mac that support airplay
