The water indicator will turn pink if water has come in contact. Most likely it will be fine seeing it's just the cord.

Corrosion on the cable could prevent proper connection to your iPhone.
Clean or replace the cable.
i used it for a month and i didnt determine corrosion. I replaced it today, did it damage my phone or it didnt?
Take it in to Apple for evaluation. No one on the Internet can tell if there is damage.
If you are experiencing no problems, continue as you are.
i had got my cable wet, i dried it out and waited for it to completly dry for 5-10 minutes? But, does the water indicator detected water or not?
