iphone6 up to date. Used running app and now won't operate. Black screen. Won't turn off. Phone rings when called but buttons don't work. Then returns to black screen. Won't update on computer
What other troubleshooting have you done? Before making any other recommendations, it would be good to know, so no one wastes your time.
NNot sure what else I can do as phone is unresponsive and doesn't seem to update when plugged into computer. I have tried a pin in the small hole at bottom. As you can tell I'm pretty much a techno dinosaur

Thanks for that. Tried to restore on computer via iTunes but unable to turn off find my iPhone. Can't turn phone off. When screen does come on occasionally if I receive a text there is an icon in top right corner between moon shape and compass - round with 2 arrows which moves around slowly. Seems as if it's responding but extremely slowly. I have booked an appointment for Friday with the Apple Store but it's so hard not having use of the phone. First world problem I fear!
Thank you. Seems to be working now after forcing restart with both buttons. Is there any way an app could cause this problem? now happened twice after using a fitness app? May still need to visit Apple. Thanks for your advice
Restore the device as new and test before adding any content back to the device. If it works without extra content, then try restoring to your backup. If it errors again, then something is corrupt in your backup. I will still keep the Genius Bar appointment though.
