What would cause a connection problem

Dear Guys, My out mail goes to out mail box. It does not deliver. Warning says- I am having a connection problem. Please help. On my Mac mini (2012)

Yahoo Mail. iOS 8. Processor- 2.5 GHz, Intel i5 Memory 4 GB's, 1600 OX Yosemite 10.10.3 Storage 500 GB

#2. Mail goes to my inbox on my phone, it does't stay, it then moves itself to my computer. I need my mail to stay on my Iphone4. Iphone4

What does Connection Doctor say? (Mail>Window>Connection Doctor)

Can you access the Yahoo account on another device. Yahoo mail is troublesome.

Connection Doctor- I was able to login 3 accounts to the internet, including Yahoo. I am having a send problem, going to my outbox. Donna
