I'm currently trying to side chain white noise but when I add the compressor to the white noise so I can link it to the bus where my bass drum is at, the function in the right corner is not there. I've seen many people on youtube do it and it seems as this is the only way? How can I get the option/function back on my compressor or side chain another way? Thanks!

Have you turned on all the Advanced tools in Logic's preferences?
Then Logic works in the full feature enabled LPX mode and not the cutdown 'Garageband Pro' Mode...
