Sep 24, 2015 10:17 AM in response to Atarangoby ilovemyipad,This is also something I really want to do. I do a lot of swimming and boxing training so always take my watch off.
I've completed the feedback form requested this functionality so let's see if we ever get it.
I have used My Fitness Pal in the past, but this doesn't even seem to update the health app. In the settings theres not one to allow the app to "write" in the health app. Most are to allow it to "read" from it.

For the MyFitnessPal app, data sharing options can be checked:
- In the MyFitnessPal app via HealthKit Sharing;
- On your iPhone via Settings > Privacy > Health.

Oct 21, 2015 5:56 AM in response to Jonathan UKby chiccociolla,I'm starting to loose the hope that we will ever be able to add "manually" workouts to our Watch..
it's been a while since WatchOs2, and still nothing, right?!

Oct 21, 2015 6:05 AM in response to chiccociollaby nick101,Be reasonable - it's only been a month since OS2 and that's a very short time for Apple to think about new features - any release in the near future is likely to be just bug fixes.
I have no idea whether Apple intends to implement this - there's been no talk - and it it is frustrating. Have you submitted feedback? No guarantee that Apple will act on it, but they do read that stuff.
What's surprising me more than this is how slow the 3rd parties (Runkeeper and the others) are being to produce native watch apps, which might be a solution. As far as I can see, only Rustic have a native app to date

Jan 10, 2016 2:00 PM in response to Atarangoby jamessk12,Does anyone know of any update on this? I really want Activity app to update for swimming so I get the full circles.
I've also left timers running before so being able to edit activity in the app would also be helpful.
I've very surprised Apple didn't think of adding this in Watch iOS 2, especially the fact that the technology and development to make it happen is nothing compared to what they've achieved with technology and apps alike.
I'm sure Apple staff would like these features to, as do many.

Mar 20, 2016 9:56 PM in response to jamessk12by Adam PW Smith,There is an iPhone/Watch app now called Manual Move which lets you enter a calorie count that gets added to the Move ring on the Activity app.
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/manual-move/id1039635917?mt=8
I'd much prefer if Apple would coordinate the Health and Activity apps better*, but this will at least keep us from losing points for our otherwise unrecorded efforts.
(* I use the ERG app with a stationary rower. If I'm wearing my Apple Watch when I row, both the ERG app -and- the watch record the effort as a workout in the Health app -creating two entries for the same workout - but the Activity app only knows about the Watch-reported calories.)

Apr 21, 2016 5:35 PM in response to Adam PW Smithby Zig Zagg,There is also an app, Fitmanual, that calculates and adds calories to the Apple Watch Activity app Move ring.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fitmanual-helps-you-to-complete/id1073477295?mt= 8
Between Manual Move and Fitmanual, it comes down to whether the user prefers entering a number of calories, or entering data like activity type, duration and weight, and having the app calculate and enter calories burned. The former is less bothersome, but the latter should be more accurate unless the number of calories burned is already known somehow.

May 1, 2016 11:02 PM in response to nick101by Lelesiculo,Hi Nick! I was just reading this post of yours, of last year...
I think i did set RK as a source for Health app from the beginning indeed, but no datas are showing up in Activity (neither in the phone nor in the watch)...am i missing something here?
And also...you wrote that, in your case, RK datas would be displayed in Activity on the phone but not on the watch...but, aren't they supposed to be always synchronized?
Thanks a lot for your help, take care...

Jun 9, 2016 4:07 PM in response to Atarangoby elledeebee,Here is what I just did. Open the Health App on your phone/Dashboard (Day)/workouts, tap workouts/add data point/scroll through activities/select your acitvity and add. This adds the workout to your dashboard. It does not show up on the apple watch activity screen or give credit for minutes or calories though, which is what I wanted it to do!
