Macbook Pro headphone jack is only playing music through one earpiece?

My Macbook pro is about 2 years old now and i have used it a lot but have taken outstanding care of it. You would look at it today and say it was not even a week old.

All of a sudden i went to plug my headphones into the headphone jack to listen to some music. When i start the music, it only plays through the left ear piece.

I tried moving the plug around, twisting it, pushing it in further (if it was possible). Anythign and everything i could think of. I still only get sound through the left earpiece. I also tried it with 4-5 different headsets to see if that was the problem and i still run into the same problem that it is only playing sound through the left earpiece.

How can i fix this?

i don't think anything got caught in inside it because i looked and didn't see anything.
