Creating bootable usb os x installer

If you have an installation dvd,you can go ahead and use that,but if you don't,then you can use the disk utilities to make a bootable usb.You'll need the iso file and a usb of the appropriate storage capacity for this.There are also other good softwares on the net that cater to your need.(I recently dual booted and installed Linux and Mac OS X 10.10.3 on my MBP using a LiveDVD that I made).

So you can use the .dmg to make a bootable USB.
