I have predictive text everywhere except when I try to search in Google. It was there one minute then gone the next. I have tried turning it on and off. I have restarted my phone. It's not slid down. When I hold the emoji icon it won't let me turn it on. It's working everywhere but there. Kind of losing my mind a little. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "it's not slid down", but try these steps as needed:
1. Reset phone: press both the home and lock buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
3. Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
same. iPhone 5s iOS 10.3.1 have reset, hard reset, reinstalled via iTunes, ... nothing's working.
they want google users to use gboard. they even promise not to turn every keystroke into an ad. hehe
