Airplay files won't show up

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get files to show up on Airplay from my iPhone (iOS8.3) to my iMac (Yosemite, 10.10.3) and I'm so close, but somethings just not working. iMac to iPhone is working fine, but iPhone to iMac has no luck.

ON MY IPHONE

I have airplay turned on on both.

I select a photo in my photos app.

I tap on my computer under where it says "Tap to share with Airdrop."

A loading circle goes around the picture then it says "sent"

ON MY IMAC (where things fail)

I open my AirDrop folder and can see my iPhone icon there, but nothing ever shows up. The photo I just sent that says "sent" on my iPhone isn't there. I also checked "Photos" on my iMac and the picture isn't there either. I can drag a pic onto my iPhone icon and it shows right up on my iPhone, but it just won't show up the other way around.

Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to look for photos going that way?

Thanks,

Dan P.
