downloading videos on pc

I have downloaded videos from my iphone (5S) and my wife’s

I have downloaded the videos onto 2 different windows
laptops and in all cases I experienced the same problem: some videos cannot be
opened with quicktime or mediaplayer.

Has anyone had the same issue? Are there solutions?
