Connection Error Message

All of a sudden iCloud on my Mac cannot connect.

I receive message:

"Connection Error.

iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

I have retried and restarted etc... I was connected all morning, then out of nowhere received this message and receive same message every time I try to log in.
