Did you get working DNS server addresses? Many times the problem is broken DNS servers, or the DHCP server did not provide DNS servers.


Have you tried rebooting your WiFi base stations/router? It is your first level of DNS server in most instances, and it is also the other half of your WiFi connection. Maybe it is not happy with the iMac? Reboot/power cycle the WiFi base stations.


What information is in your System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> WiFi

System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> TCP/IP

System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> DNS


Have you tried

Hold "Option" key -> Click on the WiFi menu bar icon -> Select Wireless Diagnostics -> run through the diagnostics
