mail will not open on 4s
Cannot access mail on 4S. When trying I get a blank white screen, and then it returns to the icon page.
Same email account works fine on ipad both using ios8.

You may need to sign out then back into your account.

Have tried that several times.
You may have received the malicious text that hit Apple phones last week. They are waiting for an ios update fix. This article is what they suggest to try now:
If you are unable to fix it with this, you can use siri to text for you.
Otherwise you will need to restore the device
Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
