How do I email photos from the new iphoto?

I'm trying to email a photo from the new iphoto. Nothing appears when selecting share in the drop down menu for emailing

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Do you mean, you have upgraded to MacOS X 10.10.3 and the new Photos for Mac applications? That is not a new iPhoto version, it is a completely different application.

To be able to mail from Photos, you have to have set up Apple's Mail.app as the default Mail reader in the Mail Preferences.

What are you using as the default Mail client?
