Color chooser crashes Motion/FCPX when choosing color

When creating shapes, say a circle in any sized project, it defaults to white. I now want to change the color to a specific color. If I choose my saved color in the palette, it crashes. If I try to give it specific color value, say CMYK, it crashes 80% of the time. It's normally fine if I use the standard chooser or the actual picker. But I have specific values I use constantly. Any Ideas?

Thanks In Advance

That is odd. What is your media drive specs? Or are you editing off of the system drive (which you shouldn't)?

I'd trash pref files on both (hold cmd+opt when launching app).

Run Disk Utility to repair all drives.

Verify all drives have at least 15% of their total capacity as free space.

I'd start there. Worse case at this point, download the free app "FCS Remover" and use it to totally remove FCPX and Motion, and reinstall them.

Odd issue, I've never seen that before.
