Custom color generator crashes

When creating a Custom Color Generated Plate, I want to change the color to a specific color. If I choose my saved color in the palette, it crashes. If I try to give it specific color value, say CMYK, it crashes 80% of the time. It's normally fine if I use the standard chooser or the actual picker. But I have specific values I use constantly. Any Ideas?

It crashes both in Motion and FCPX

It is a known problem that using CMYK crashes the application. That is a bug, but in any case it makes no sense to use CMYK in a video application. Use RGB.

Except when CMYK is the color space they give you, then you must open in Photoshop and convert then go into motion and or FCPX. Pain in the asterisk!

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't seen that bug listed anywhere.

You can open the color picker in any app and change the values to RGB. There's also a web site that will do conversions for you. http://www.rapidtables.com/convert/color/cmyk-to-rgb.htm

Not sure who they are, but if they want to work in video, they kind of need to work in a video color space and not one made for printer's inks.
