It takes 30 seconds for the Apple logo to appear, it was not the same in the past as it was taking no time at all
any suggestions what made it open slowly ???

Select Macintosh HD as the Startup Disk.

Have you added RAM? A lot of RAM is a good thing but is slows the startup while the start-up self-testing has to evaluate a large amount of RAM.
