How do I remove the split on my hard drive?

I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009), Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory, with a 500 GB Drive. When I first got it I split the drive using Bootcamp to accommodate Windows. Now I would like to delete the split and get rid of Windows. How do I do this?

Back up your data(as a precaution), choose Utilities from the Finder’s Go menu, open the Boot Camp Assistant, and return the computer to a single partition setup.
