MBP Retina's Display Flickers, Computer Shuts Down From Sleep

I bought a 15" Retina Display MacBook Pro 2 days ago.

Specs:

1TB SSD

Processor: 2.8Ghz

16 GB Memory

OSX Yosemite (10.10.3)

The display flickers at random intervals (looks like a corrupt image file, for a half-second). I can't recreate specific contexts in which it happens – but I work in graphic design and video production. I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue, since the flickering takes over the whole screen rather than specific windows.

Secondly, any time I put it to sleep for longer than two minutes, the computer shuts down.

If I don't get any helpful responses in the next few hours, I think I'll be returning it to the store for a refund (could also use some pointers as to how to do that as well, as Apple's customer service has been pretty unhelpful in the past).
